Irish Language courses 2018/19

Davidson County Community College (DCCC) is offering Irish Language courses again this year. This the 4th year that our club has been partnered with the college and we are proud to  promote these course.

The standard of teachers is always first class and this year is no different. The fact that Irish language course are offered in the US at all is amazing and to have classes practically on our door step is fantastic. I highly recommend taking these courses, if you want to better understand Irish culture and of course if you want to get the ‘gift of the gab’ as Gaeilge agus as Béarla (in Irish and in English). Here are the details:

The latest Irish teached is Rita Donnellan and she is the Fulbright FLTA, teaching Irish at DCCC this year.
She has taught Irish for the last 8 years and she directs Irish immersion courses for teenagers in the Connemara Gaeltacht as well. In an email I received from here recently she said “I’m really looking forward to sharing the Irish language stateside this year and I’d really appreciate your help in promoting the Irish classes offered as part of the Continuing Education here at DCCC to anyone and everyone in North Carolina who might be interested.”
There are three classes scheduled, starting from Monday August 20th. To register, click on the links below:
