Hop Swap – 5K/Half Marathon

Foothills Brewing and Junction 311 Endurance Sports have partnered to bring you a fun and energetic way to kick off NC Beer Month, the HopSwap Half Marathon & 5k. Some members of the Wolfhounds GAA participated both as Runners, Volunteers and Vendors on the day.

We want to congratulate Foothills Brewing for a wonderfully organised race and a fun block party as well. Ray Goodrich (Foothills Marketing Manager) was pivotal in organizing such a successful inaugural Hop Swap race for Foothills and our club was delighted to be a part of it in all aspects.

Our recruitment went so well, we even got BOLT (The Winston-Salem Dash – the Class-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox – mascot) to exchange his bat for a hurley…. Wolfhounds Abú!

A special Shout out to Kent Eaton (Wolfhound Supporter) on completing his first Half Marathon. Brilliant job, well done!!!! 

I also wanted to thank Cormac, Denis, Adam, John, Dan, Mike & Tim and thank them all for their efforts both on and off the race circuit. It was a proud day to be a Wolfhound and also highlighted that our pre-season training was successful :)
